How to eat it?
This is best enjoyed as a desert or as a snack with tea/ coffee.
Ingredients
2 cups organic whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup organic vegan cocoa powder
2 tbsp corn starch
4 tbsp water (Check the consistency of mixture and add a little more if needed)
1/2 cup vegan butter or margarine (I used avocado margarine) + some for greasing the pan
1 cup date syrup
1/2 cup thickly chopped walnut pieces

Recipe
👩🍳 Take a wide mouth bowl and together baking soda, salt, flour, coca powder
👩🍳 In another large bowl add the corn starch, date syrup, water, butter and whisk together nicely. Use a hand whisker or an electric one as per your choice.
👩🍳 Add the dry ingredients from first step to the wet mix and whisk together again until a perfect cake consistency is formed
👩🍳 Add the walnuts and mix slightly
👩🍳 Grease a 9 by 5 by 3-inch loaf pan with butter. Preheat the oven to 170 degree Celsius
👩🍳 Transfer the batter to the prepared greased pan. Bake for 40 minutes
👩🍳 Cover the pan with aluminium foil and bake for another 30 minutes
👩🍳 Keep checking until a toothpick is inserted into the center of the bread and it comes out clean.
👩🍳 Let the bread cool down completely for 1-2 hours and it is ready to be eaten the same day or even the next day when covered and stored in a foil.
